How Great Thou Art

This really did open the flood gates! I love this hymn and I love it even more when Carrie sings it. Man, what American girls doesn't love Carrie Underwood? Well, I'm sure they are out there, but I for one think she is extraordinary. And this performance says it all!

Harvard Sailing Team

.

Last weekend my sweetest friend Miss Kaylee Kirkland came to town for a visit. Friday night we made our way down to the People's Improv Theatre and had ourselves a little chuckle. We loved their show, and found out that they perform every Friday night for those of you who are interested. They were very comedic . . .go figure. I especially got a kick out of this little number BECAUSE the song "Life is Like a Hurricane" is the theme song for Ducktales the cartoon, and it just so happens to be the alarm clock ringtone on my phone. Ya, I'm cool! The skit at the show was better than this video because on the "awoo-ooo!" parts, they all did the wave together. There were lots of other funny skits and we quoted them all weekend long. "It was exclusive!"~HST

p.s. HST is not affiliated with Harvard in case you were wondering. And if you want a good laugh look up, "Boys Will be Girls" by the HST. One of their best acts, if I do say so myself. They also did a sweet Home Improvement theme song rendition. What can I say? I love TV shows from the 90s. (I religiously watched almost all of these!) I can officially check off comedy show from my list of things to do in the city. Check! That feels good.

All in all, it was a splendid weekend. We saw Wicked, watched the Jimmer (Go Cougs!) and ordered in, had a dance party in our living room (oh wait--only room), slept in, gained inspiration for the new blog theme (Thank you Kaylee!), and made inside jokes and memories that will last FOR-EV-ER!

I love you Billy!

This song takes me back to my Diamond days. I'm pretty sure if I could choose an artist to write the soundtrack of my life I would choose Billy Joel. How I love him!

AT&T Rethink Possible - Blanket Commercial

I love this commercial! I mostly love it just because of the Arch and Mississippi River. I will be there next week. My dad and brothers arrived today and Nate and I will meet them out there, along with my mamma next week. Two classes down, three to go this semester. woot woot!

I've been on a commercial kick today. Maybe I should go into advertising. We'll see . . .

McDonald's built an adult sized playland in the middle of Sydney

Now there are three reasons why I want to visit Australia.

1. Luke Leneham . . .love the accent.

2. Adult sized playland. Who does that?!

3. I heart Outback!

123 Party! : Takin' It To The Streets!

I totally saw these guys today at 58th and Lex! They were dancing up and down the streets in the middle of the road with their boombox.

1, 2, 3 Party is a renegade dance troupe. Lazer, formally known as Fury, began the group. He auditioned for So You Think You Can Dance this season, and clearly didn't make it, but the judges got a kick out of him. They made my day! Only in New York (and Boston I guess.)I watched another video on Youtube of auditions that were held to be a part of the troupe. Let's just say, Nate could have schooled those kids. Did anyone watch the Lauritzen boys' ALL STAR number?! haha Actually, I laughed really hard because I think Nate's dance skills are of the same caliber. (That was not a diss on my husband!) These guys are cool, and so is my husband because we have dance parties all the time! You would all find it to be highly entertaining if you saw Nate and I break out in dance in our apartment. It usually occurs after we watch a "dance" movie or anytime Pandora blasts Soulja Boy (that played over and over in the rental car on our honeymoon).

I know a kid from high school who would be a great asset to the troupe, but they would have to change it to 1, 2, 3, 4 Party More! Holla! Tallen Meek, if you are out there, this is for you my friend.

Tallen = boy on the right.

Peter Olinto talks about Puff Daddy

This is who Nate listens to when he studies for the CPA exam. He's hilarious! (If you have an accountant sense of humor!) Nate always has me listen to this guy when he says something funny. You may be wondering why I'm posting Peter Olinto on here? Because . . . Nate passed his 3rd test. Couldn't be more proud!! 3 down, 1 to go!! Way to go Nathan! Love you!

"Back In St. Louis . . ."

When I was 12 my family moved from St. Louis, Missouri to St. George, Utah. Talk about culture shock! My dear friend Jen always heard my brother and I say, "Back in St. Louis... blah blah blah." I'm sure my brothers and I were pretty obnoxious with all of our St. Louis talk, but that was our home. It wasn't until late in my high school years and even after I moved away that I fully appreciated Utah. I really liked this video because it took be back to my St. Louis days! I am anxious for the semester to be over so that I can take Nate to St. Louis and basque in the Midwestern humidity and Ted Drewes! Gotta love it.

Glee+ Nelly= Love/ Summer/ Get me through the semester music!

Hip Hop Hoedown

I'm going to get made fun of for this one, but I thoroughly enjoyed this and think that it is way fun! I have never been a fan of Hannah...ever, but this movie was cute and Rascal Flatts were in it so it got Nate to go. We both liked it...we're perfect for each other. I love you Nathan!
